Portrait


The days fall like rain
Memories build into puddles
And the heart of man exposed
To the wind and time, remain
As a thought remembered
Gathered upon each other
Known to the spirit, like a book
Recognized by a gaze

Certainty as understood to one self
Perhaps not by those who glance
A mirror formed by the drops
Gathered from the weathers part
An image of ones character
Reflected back upon the spheres
A thousand times again

Still, the waves linger
As the beads of reminiscence seeps
Find its place a home for one to slumber
In the novel of ones heart
Pages exposed to countless unnamed eyes
Finding meanings from the portrait seen
An echo of an instant
A curtain encircled

Clear as the rain that gathers
In the depths of our lives we stumble
For clarity of reasons to ponder
The currents of times endeavors
Tribute and wishing well for others
For understanding and compassion shared
We give and receive for a moment
When the days fall like rain
